HERB TALKS
Talks can be tailored to suit your needs, from private groups and gardening or horticultural clubs, to corporate groups, food and gardening related events, and child friendly educational activities.
The talks tend to be interactive, including hands-on demonstrations and audience participation. Slideshows are mainly used as a backdrop.
HERB WORKSHOPS
Denise has many years experience in delivering workshops, talks and demonstrations on numerous aspects of growing and using culinary, medicinal and native Irish wild herbs.
She holds a QQI Level 6 Qualification in Training and Delivery Evaluation.
FORAGING WALKS
All foraging walks are led by Denise, who is passionate about sharing her knowledge of the ‘weeds’ that grow all around us, from the tallest tree to the tiniest wildflower.
These plants can enhance our lives in so many ways, from creating nutritious wild food dishes, country cordials, wines and liqueurs, to using them for safe and simple home remedies.
Topics covered include Folklore and History, Culinary Uses, Medicinal Uses, Wildlife Biodiversity and Wild Crafting.
Foraging walks can take place anywhere, from city parks or canal banks, to secluded woodlands, country lanes, riverbank walkways and coastal cliff or seashore pathways.
